Ein Projekt der Kunstkomission Düsseldorf
Studio Thomas Spallek
The International Lantz’scher Sculpture Park Lohausen is a new exhibition project of the Kunstkommission Düsseldorf and the state capital Düsseldorf. The project continues the idea of an international sculpture park, which goes back to the gallerist Alfred Schmela (* 1918 - † 1980). In 1975, Schmela opened the Galerie im Park in Lantz'schen Park and organized exhibitions of works by international contemporary artists in the public space of the park. On the initiative of Gregor Jansen, director of the Kunsthalle Düsseldorf, this idea was revived last summer with the International Lantz'scher Skulpturenpark Lohausen 2020. This year, the Lantz'sche Park will once again become a stage for current artistic positions.
